Books That Inspired Me: Peter Pan

"I am a lost boy, from Neverland..."

Peter Pan was my first true book love. I remember reading these lines: "All children, except one, grow up."

And from that moment on, my love for Peter Pan only grew. I dreamed of escaping to Neverland like Wendy.

So I left my window open each night, gazing out at the stars. 

But the boy beyond the stars never came.

And I was left alone. 

But I still dream.

Of the day I'll grasp pixie dust...

And fly away forever. To be a lost boy...

To battle Captain Hook.

And to talk with mermaids.

So I'll leave my window open. I'll never give up.

Until one day, Peter comes to take me to Neverland...

But until then, I'll always dream of far off places. Of mischief and stars...



So, that was weird? Maybe? I wanted to do some sort of ode to Peter Pan, since I was totally obsessed with the story as a kid and...I still am, tbh. 

Anyways...
