5 Books I'm Reading This Summer!

There's shit I need to read this summer.

What a great introduction...

Hey, howww's it going?

Let me start by saying summer is my fave season.

No, really. It is!

Swimming in the ocean, trying not to be so pale, going on vacation, being almost attacked by sharks, etc., etc.

So, here are 5 books I'm definitely reading this summer when I'm chilling on the beach or doing other summer-like things.

1. Magnus Chase, by Rick Riordan

First, let me start by saying, Rick Riordan. Next, let me say that it's all about Norse mythology.

So, I'm reading it.

No, but really. It's a bit like Percy Jackson in where it follows a kid who discovers somehow he's related to a god. Right? Sure, yeh. Needless to say, I'm reading it.

2. The Hunter's Moon, by O. R. Melling

I like anything that has to do with Irish or Scottish lore. Truly, it's one of my favorites. So, when I heard about this book, I thought I'd give it a go.

It follows a girl who goes on a trip to Ireland to see her cousin. Least does she know that the King of Faerie is totally after her cousin to marry her or something. So, obviously the girl, Gwen, has to rescue her cousin.

She backpacks all across Ireland to enter the Land of Faerie and rescue her cousin. Sounds like my kind of thing.

3. Eve, by Anna Carey

Post apocalyptic world? YES. Follows a girl who breaks out of a school holding them captive? YES. Meets some hot wilderness guy? Why, yes. I will have that, thanks.

So, this seems like a fun read. It follows a girl named Eve who goes to some guarded school for girls after a virus wipes out the majority of humans. Apparently, something goes wrong and she escapes from the school. Okay, I'll read it.

4. Angelfall, by Susan Ee

Angels demolishing the world? The apocalypse, AGAIN? I love apocalyptic books. And this story follows a girl whose little sister was taken away by warrior angels. She will do anything to get her sister back, even making a deal with an enemy angel. I'm also guessing he's hot. Just a guess.

5. The Curse of the Black Cat, by Carolyn Keene

So, I'm a major Nancy Drew fan. Like, played all the games, read a lot of the books, kind of fan. This was a book I tracked down online, waited for a month to get, and saved for the summer season to read.

Nancy ventures off to an all girls elite boarding school to solve a mystery about a culprit called the Black Cat, who is terrorizing the girls at the school. Love me some Nancy Drew mysteries.

Anyways, that's all I've got today.

Lot's of 💙 and 🍵,

Liz
